A workshop and exhibition at the UdK (University of Art in Berlin).

The workshop was part of Interflugs, a student-run initiative at UdK.
Interflugs strives to countercross the normative and official curriculum of the UdK, to create discourse and introduce paralell schools of thought.

Mass//Public//Response was attended by 23 students from 6 countries who visited 5 sites in 4 days.

The students were broken up into smaller groups and assigned a location to study in Berlin. At are site we were prompted to study movement, pauses, groupings of people, vacant spots, etc.
By lingering in a public space and documenting the general environment we were able to glean a better idea of how the space is used, or how it could be improved.

My group studied the Reichstag.

Our field study focused on the fragmentation of the physical space, mirroring its fragmented history.
